In today’s video, I am going to show you how to grow financial money trees at home, in your own backyard.
You’ve probably heard countless times that money doesn’t grow on trees.
I am here to tell you today. This idea is not true.
It doesn’t matter where this concept came from; it matters that you replace it after today
Money does grow on trees.
First of all, money is made from paper, and paper is made from trees. This is a fact.
Second, trees can cut down your electricity bills dramatically if they are around your house, especially during the summertime in California.
Third, if you enjoy fruits like me, such as pomegranates, lemons, oranges, peaches, and figs. They are all nutritious but cost money to buy from grocery stores. They can be expensive if you make smoothies with them every day.
You can easily plant them in your backyard. They are organic. They can be your money trees. The money you save from not buying groceries can be put back into your money-making machines to generate more income for you.
Any negative concepts about money are clogs that can cut off the stream of income running to you.
If you live in California like me, one thing you must remember to do is to clean the gutters of your house every year. My husband and my son always do this before the winter rainy season. I would never have to worry about water flooding everywhere around the house.
Hopefully, we can take care of this money-limiting belief today.
- How can you plant your money trees in your backyard?
First, Your full-time job is your money tree. If you can work from home, this will be your perfect money tree.
You spend 8 hours a day nurturing it, water it, and give it sun. Hopefully, you not only earn a living but also earn a handsome investment along the way.
Second, start a business to serve others and the community. You can sell your business later to make good profits.
Third, your side hustle is your money tree.
I want to take a little more time talking about this part because it’s almost free to start your side hustle nowadays.
Of course, you have to spend time learning how to do it or you can purchase courses or seminars online to save time.
For me, I started writing my Chinese blog a few years ago because of my passion for writing. Then I started writing in English to reach more people.
I learned how to successfully self-publish books on Amazon. My book, Five-minute Rule to Greatness, became a bestseller on Amazon last year. Amazon shares 70% royalty with writers. They deposit money into your bank account automatically every month if you self-publish your book.
On September 8th, this month, I pushed my first-ever coloring book for adults, Beautiful Flowers Coloring Book. It became #1 in the new releases category and a bestseller in three categories as well during the launch week. They are the money trees I have planted in my spare time, in addition to running a family business.
I also became a high achiever coach to help aspiring writers and entrepreneurs become best-selling authors on Amazon in three months.
I also have created my first two online stores on Etsy and Shopify. They take time to make money, but they are your online real estate. you must plant them ahead of time if you want to generate passive income in the future.
The rule of thumb for starting your side hustle is to have a super clear idea about your passion and talent. You can have more than one talent. You do not have to feel bad about your wide range of interests in different subjects. No matter what you do, as long as you enjoy the creating process, you can last a long time and avoid burnout.

Understand your personality and your talents. They are your superpowers. When you can find a way to monetize your superpower, you are on your way to great success.
