#1 Most Important Thing About Money

You were lied to about money

Did you know that as long as you live in a world with the freedom to start a business, find a job or do both, you can start your journey on Financial Freedom today? The sky is your limit.

What is the definition of financial freedom?

Financial freedom means that you can make important decisions without ever having to worry about the factor of money. You can shift your time and energy to what you’re passionate about in life.

In today’s blog, I am going to talk about the foundation of Financial Freedom which is the relationship with money. You probably have heard a lot about the mindset of money.

Your mindset with money plays a big role in how you see money and is the most important factor for achieving your financial goals.

Some of you may say, oh stop it. I do not want to hear the mindset again, I only want to know how to become financially free. Just tell me what I should do to make more money and how I do that.

But listen, This is the biggest lesson I have learned from all those years in business. It doesn’t matter how much you make, it matters how much you keep at the end of the day, and what you do with the leftover money.

I have been in different businesses for the past decades.  I know how to start a business and make money, but why on earth have I still not achieved Financial Freedom which would mean having a healthy retirement account, the freedom to travel the world, live where I like, help whoever I want, and never have to worry about the money ever again.

It’s all because of the mindset about money.

  • What is the mindset?

Mindset is something you are thinking in your own mind. The ideas you have adopted through your whole life about money and about finances.

They could come from your family, your teachers, people of authority, the media, or tradition.

Even if it came from people you trust it doesn’t mean their idea is right or truthful.

It’s painful to realize that most of the ideas we have learned about money are lies.

  • What do you think about money? Have you ever heard:
  1. Money doesn’t grow on trees?

       2. Money is the source of all evil?

  1. Money cannot buy happiness.
  1. Rich people are selfish and greedy.
  1. It’s hard to make money.
  1. You have to work your butt off to make money,
  1. Who do you think you are to become financially free?
  1. I come from a poor family and I do not know how to make money.
  1. Focusing on making money is bad.
  1. Rich people are not happy.
  1. Hollywood movies made the list even longer. Rich people are ruthless.

You name it.

Think about this list for a moment.

If you associate money with all these bad characteristics, would you pursue financial stability, financial independence, and financial freedom?

Would you make the financial aspect of your life first priority?

I bet you would not. You wouldn’t want to be categorized as a bad person.

That’s exactly what I unconsciously thought about money in the past. I wanted to make more money, but at the same time, I hesitated to go all in myself.

I was afraid to be labeled as a greedy and evil person. I had these inner conflicts with money for so many years. Even though I am a dreamer. I always dream big. I wanted to become a millionaire and even a multimillionaire when I had nothing under my name. But I secretly was doubting myself and constantly fighting with the thought about money.

  • Why is mindset important for your financial results?

If you think money has these bad connotations, you would probably refuse to make more money, pursue a promotion, or even get business opportunities unconsciously.

Our thoughts can dominate the results.

According to neuroscientist Dr. Joe Dispenza, the human mind can have 60000 to 80000 self-talks a day.  And the most profound thing is that 80% of our self-talks are negative.

Negative thoughts about money are the thief that can steal our dreams to become financially free.

  • What should you do?

Change your mind and you can change your life.

Since last year, I have finally made a decision to achieve financial freedom in five years. I do not want to waste time believing this crap anymore and wait any longer to wish someday someone can hand me financial freedom other than myself.

I have been working on my goal towards financial freedom every day ever since. You can do the same too.
